Green hydrogen

Environment, Hydrogen, August 13, 2020

The Plagazi Process for production of hydrogen, out of GROT (wood residues) and other organic waste, is green according to the CertifHy definition and gives a negative CO2 contribution when combined with CCS. There is a new emphasis on hydrogen in Europe, following the presentation of the European Hydrogen Strategy, and the formation of the Hydrogen Alliance in July 2020. The Hydrogen strategy has set up ambitious targets for hydrogen production, but still with a bias on electrolysis. The European Commission should welcome all technologies, and reward CO2 reduction. Green Hydrogen, however it is produced. With a certification of hydrogen,.

The EU Landfill Directive

Environment, Hydrogen, July 11, 2020

Landfills become the impulse for the removal of enormous measure of Municipal Solid Wastes (MSW). Landfills have generally been viewed as a definitive answer for putting away squanders at least expense. The removal of huge amounts of trash every day with no treatment and isolation make loads at landfill locales. Studies have demonstrated that decreased landfilling in benefit of expanded reusing of materials and vitality lead to bring down environmental impact, lower health risks, and lesser utilization of vitality assets, lower energy resources, lower economic costs and finally sustainable waste management. The EU-directive[1] points out the following: According to the.

COVID-19 is generating tons of medical waste

Environment, Hydrogen, Uncategorized, April 25, 2020

China has seen amazing measures of clinical waste. It is not clear if U.S. and European effects may be comparative. In China, the coronavirus — which causes COVID-19 — has left the nation managing piles of clinical waste. The South China Morning Post has revealed 28 urban areas are struggling to manage it, including Wuhan, the main zone significantly affected by the emergency. That city is creating in excess of multiple times its standard measure of clinical waste, per the Post’s revealing, and clinical waste treatment offices in all the influenced urban areas are working at their full limit. During.

Richter Recycling GmbH and Plagazi enter a pre-study agreement

Company, Environment, Hydrogen, December 3, 2019

Richter Recycling GmbH and Plagazi have made an agreement to make a pre-study for building up a Plagazi Process plant. The pre-study will highlight the advantages changing from today’s incineration to the Plagazi Process. Upgrading vehicles Richter Recycling has also expressed their wish to upgrade its vehicle fleet to hydrogen powered vehicles. Richter sees the opportunity to improve the economy by a change-over and at the same time contribute to reduction of CO2 emission. Excess hydrogen from the process could be fed into the existing gas pipeline system in the Berlin area.

Köping and Plagazi – letter of intent

Company, Environment, Hydrogen, Press, December 2, 2019

The city of Köping and Plagazi have signed a letter of intent for a long-term energy cooperation with the intension to replace today’s waste incineration with a state of the art Plagazi Process plant. A feasibility study is initiated to examine the possibilities of designing a brand new type of plasma combustion reactor for hydrogen and district heating production, based on research at KTH in Stockholm and technology from Westinghouse Plasma. There is a potential to use, not only household waste, but also what today is considered “scrap” and non-combustible material, to produce hydrogen in a completely closed system, without.
